2005 Duckhorn Napa Valley Merlot **

Nice ripe plum. Medium bodied, gaining weight as it breathes. Dark cocoa, red berry fruitcake, hinting at toffee or caramel, with a touch of dusty tannins and a lightly spicy finish. Overall an excellent wine, and one of my perennial favorites.
